If you don't need the features in Mailock Pro, a free account lets you reply securely to any message you receive, and send 5 new secure messages each month.

Features of the free Mailock account include:
- Secure send up to 5 emails a month
- Emails can be protected with email verification and a challenge question and answer (a challenge is mandatory for every secure email created)
- Emails can be composed via the Mailock Web or Outlook add-in
- 21 day message expiry
Once registered and signed in, select the 'Compose' option to send your first message and you'll see a screen, like our example below:

The Compose screen gives a handy panel at the top to confirm how many messages you have left to send that month.
If you need to level up your account, the option to 'Upgrade' is available. Upgrading to Pro has several key benefits, which include:
- Unlimited secure send
- Secure emails can also be protected with an SMS challenge
- Via the Outlook add-in, there is the ability to revoke emails and view further audit details
