Mailock Outlook Add-in Ribbon

Most of your day-to-day use of Mailock is through the ‘Compose New Secure Email’ button on the Home ribbon in Outlook, but there is also a Mailock tab which opens up some additional options.

Looking at each option:

Works exactly the same as the blue ‘Compose New Secure Email’ button on the Home ribbon, in other words, opens a new email which will be sent securely.

You’ll only see one of these buttons at a time:

  • Sign In is used to sign into your Mailock account. In normal use the add-in will prompt you to sign in when you need to but you can also sign in from here

  • Sign Out signs out of your Mailock account. Useful if you share a computer with another user and don’t want them to access your account

Displays details such as your licence type and email addresses linked to your account.

Displays options to change the way the add-in works. Read more here.

Checks to see if there is a newer version of the add-in. This is done automatically when you start Outlook, unless you have chosen for it not to (see Add-In Settings for more).

Shows what version of the add-in your using, along with your Outlook and Windows version. There is also a button to open the add-in’s diagnostic log folder.
